1pm: Deepening Connections with Nature using Creative Arts Therapy

This workshop invites participants to inquire into their relationship with nature and all that it encompasses. Through being grounded, embodied and curious we will start our journey seated and then go on a gentle walk to engage with the natural elements of the botanical gardens.

Using both individual and group activities including arts and creative expression, participants will be supported to deepen their connection and relationship to nature. No prior art experience required. Suitable for anyone interested in these modalities, whether it be as a Participant or Practitioner.

Natalya Garden (she/her) is an Australian born woman of Scottish, Irish and New Zealand heritage. Born on the lands of the Turrabal and Jagerra people, raised on Kabi Kabi country in Southeast Queensland, she has been living on Dja Dja Wurrung country in Central Victoria for 12 years. She is a parent with lived experience of disability, natural disaster recovery and trauma. Co-owner of Rad Cycles and Gear Bike Shop; Founder and Therapeutic Practitioner of Mountain Bike Therapy Australia. Natalya has a BA in Visual Arts, MA in Masters in Experiential & Creative Arts Therapy (MIECAT Institute) and has completed training with Adventure Works Australia and Pupa Focusing. She is a Registered Clinical Member - Counselling (PACFA) and a of Outdoor Health Australia and the Global Syndicate of Mountain Bike Coaches.
